About Intersect

Our approach to your wellness

We take time to truly understand you. That includes what you’re feeling, what you’ve been carrying, and your lived experiences. This fuller understanding helps us make thoughtful decisions together and provide care that fits you, not just your symptoms. Our approach brings together space for real conversation, education, medication management when appropriate, goal exploration, and therapeutic support.

Our intention is for you to feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for, not just medically managed. This approach sets us apart from mainstream psychiatry. It is what we mean by advanced psychiatric mental health care. We see the whole person in front of us, not just a list of symptoms to treat or suppress.

Every visit happens by secure video, so your appointment is held privately, wherever you feel most comfortable. No waiting rooms, no commute. Just thoughtful, one-on-one care that grows with you.

Heidi Reed, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, ADHD-CCSP

Founder & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Heidi Reed offers psychiatric care that feels calm, collaborative, and deeply human. She creates a safe and grounded space where patients can feel seen, heard, and understood - not rushed, judged, or reduced to a diagnosis.

Heidi co-founded Intersect Mental Wellness after recognizing that mental healthcare often feels too hurried, isolating, impersonal, and corporate. It was created to offer something different: thoughtful, compassionate psychiatric care with time for real connection and evidence based care.

Heidi is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is also an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. She volunteers for the National Alliance on Mental Illness and is a member of the following organizations:

  • Association of Advanced Psychiatric Nurses
  • American Association of Nurse Practitioners
