Every price is listed below. There are no membership fees, no facility charges, and nothing that appears on a bill weeks later. Care starts with a free 15-minute call, and you will know what you are committing to before you book anything.
Intersect is a self-pay practice serving Arizona and Nevada residents ages 16 and older. We do not bill insurance. We do provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and we accept FSA and HSA payment.

Free Consultation
A short call to make sure we are a good fit before you spend anything. We cover your current situation, what you are looking for, and how the practice works. A pre-screening form is required beforehand.

Initial Evaluation
The first full visit, and the longest one you will have. It covers your psychiatric and medical history, what you have already tried, and what you want care to accomplish. Every patient starts here, including those transferring from another prescriber.

Focused Care Session
A longer follow-up for when there is more to work through than a routine check-in allows — a complex adjustment, a new stressor, or simply a need to slow down and look at the whole picture.

The standard follow-up once care is established. Time to review how things are going, check on any medication, handle refills, and make small adjustments before they become large ones.

Why self-pay
Insurance contracts shape how psychiatry gets practiced: how long a visit runs, how much documentation it demands, and which treatments get approved. Staying outside that system is what allows a 75-minute first visit and follow-ups long enough to have an actual conversation. Your treatment plan is decided between you and your provider. The tradeoff is real — you pay directly — so we list every price openly and tell you during the free consultation what a realistic year of care would cost in your situation.
Cost and payment questions
Why is Intersect self-pay instead of taking insurance?
Insurance contracts set visit lengths, documentation requirements, and which treatments are approved. Staying self-pay lets us hold 75-minute evaluations and 30- to 60-minute follow-ups, and lets your plan be decided between you and your provider rather than by a payer.
Can I use my insurance at all?
Indirectly. We provide a superbill after each visit — an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs — which you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Whether and how much you get back depends on your specific plan, so check your out-of-network mental health benefit before you start.
Do you accept FSA or HSA cards?
Yes. Both are accepted for all visit types.
What does a typical first year cost?
Most patients pay for one initial evaluation plus follow-ups at a frequency set by their treatment. Someone stable on a single medication seeing us quarterly would have a very different year than someone starting from scratch. We will give you a realistic estimate during the free consultation.
Is there an additional cost for ADHD testing?
Yes. Intersect Mental Wellness requires patients to take an FDA-cleared test through QbCheck for an additional fee of $175 to aid in the diagnosis of ADHD. It is taken from home and needs only an internet connection. See ADHD for details.
Are there discounts on anything else?

What happens if I need to cancel?
Let us know as far ahead as you can so the time can go to someone else. Cancellation terms are covered in the paperwork you complete before your first visit.
