Intersect Mental Wellness is licensed to provide psychiatric care to Nevada residents ages 16 and older, entirely by secure video. Care reaches the Las Vegas Valley, the Reno-Sparks area, and the rural counties in between without anyone needing to drive to an office.
Nevada consistently ranks among the states with the fewest psychiatric providers per resident, and wait times reflect it. Telehealth widens the pool of clinicians a Nevadan can reach. What it does not change is the licensure requirement that you be physically located in Nevada at the time of each appointment.

Do I have to live in Nevada to be seen?
You need to be physically located in Nevada at the time of each appointment. What matters is where you are during the visit, not your mailing address. If you split time between states, let us know and we will plan your schedule accordingly.
Which parts of Nevada do you serve?
All of them. Video care has no service radius — Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas as readily as Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Elko, or rural northern Nevada.
Can a Nevada telehealth provider prescribe medication?
Yes, for most medications. Nevada permits prescribing through telemedicine following an appropriate evaluation, which for us is the 75-minute initial visit. We are currently unable to prescribe Schedule II controlled substances in Nevada, including stimulant medications; other effective medication options are available when needed. We will be clear about what is possible before you commit to care.
Do you accept Nevada Medicaid or commercial insurance?
No. We are a self-pay practice, which allows longer appointments and care that is not dictated by payer policy. We provide superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and we accept FSA and HSA payment.
