Telehealth psychiatry for Arizona
Intersect Mental Wellness is licensed to provide psychiatric care to Arizona residents ages 16 and older, entirely by secure video. There is no office to drive to and no waiting room — care reaches every county in the state, including communities where the nearest psychiatric prescriber is hours away.
Arizona has a well-documented shortage of psychiatric providers, and it falls hardest on rural counties and on anyone without a flexible weekday schedule. Telehealth removes the drive. It does not remove the requirement that you be physically located in Arizona at the time of each appointment, which is set by state licensure rules rather than by us.

Do I have to live in Arizona to be seen?
You need to be physically located in Arizona at the time of each appointment. Many patients are Arizona residents, but what governs the visit is where you are sitting when it happens, not where your mail goes. If you travel out of state regularly, tell us and we will plan around it.
Which parts of Arizona do you serve?
All of them. Because care is delivered by video, there is no service radius — Phoenix, Tucson, and the Valley suburbs as readily as Flagstaff, Yuma, Prescott, or unincorporated areas of the state.
Can an Arizona telehealth provider prescribe medication?
Yes. Arizona permits prescribing through telemedicine following an appropriate evaluation, which for us is the 75-minute initial visit. Certain controlled substances carry additional federal and state requirements that we review with you before you commit to care.
Do you accept AHCCCS or commercial insurance in Arizona?
No. We are a self-pay practice, which lets us offer longer appointments and treatment plans that are not shaped by payer policy. We provide superbills you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and we accept FSA and HSA payment.
