Life Transitions
Life transitions—whether planned or unexpected—can feel overwhelming and emotionally heavy. This may include things like career shifts, relationship changes, divorce, moving, grief, aging, or adjusting to new roles and responsibilities.
We take time to understand what you are going through and how it is affecting your daily life, emotions, and sense of stability. Each person’s experience is different, and we focus on what feels most important to you in this season of life.
Support at Intersect Mental Wellness is practical, compassionate, and centered on you. We work with you to build coping strategies, develop goals, strengthen confidence, and feel more grounded as you move through change.
With the right support, even difficult transitions can feel more manageable, and you can move forward with greater clarity and steadiness. Our goal is to help you feel more supported, more confident, and more like yourself again.

Life Transitions questions we are asked most
Do I need a diagnosis to get support during a life transition?
Not necessarily. Difficulty during major change is a normal human response, not automatically a disorder. Part of the evaluation is distinguishing an expected reaction from something that has tipped into a treatable condition, and being honest with you about which it is.
What kinds of transitions do you support?
Career change, divorce/relationship endings, empty nest adjustment, grief/loss, relocation, becoming a caregiver, retirement, identity shifts, and the unnamed in-between periods that do not fit a category. If it has changed the shape of your life, it counts.
Will I be put on medication?
Many people in transition benefit most from time, structure, and a place to think out loud. Medication can be discussed as one option, but only if genuinely indicated. It is not given by default.
How many visits will I need?
Some people need only a handful during an acute period; others continue longer. We revisit the plan as things settle rather than assuming ongoing care is required.
